Salsa Y Punto - Venezuela / Spain

Workshops:  Salsa On 1, Salsa on 2 & Afro-Venezuelan Salsa, Men & Ladies Styling  

JHONNY SANCHEZ and CARMEN GONZALEZ are known as the Venezuelan Ambassadors of Salsa “Los Embajadores de Venezuela”.  They are known as one of the best dancers in Europe and pioneered Venezuelan Salsa en Linea (LA) style. By combining Afro Venezuelan in its choreographies and using only subjects of Venezuelan orchestras, they have developed a style of their own “Salsa en Linea de tres”. They have also performed in some of the best scenes in Venezuela, participating in the concerts such as Noches de New York, Oscar d’ Leon, Celia Cruz, Andy Duran, Cheo Feliciano, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Ismael Miranda, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Cano Estremera, Jose Alberto “Canario” , Adolescent’s, Geraldo Rosales and MercandoNegro. Get ready to learn from and to witness the performance of these world-class dancers! Venezuelan hot bods Salsa Y Punto, intend to work the audience into a frenzy with their tight spins, precise steps and incredible groove. The rocked the Congress in 2008 and are ready to WOW us again !!

They were also voted as having the most fun workshops at the Congress in 2008.

Currently one of the most well-known group of performers, these performers have been described as “incredible” by Albert Torres. Their first time in Asia these performers have performed and taught every year at the West Coast Salsa Congress and in all the Congresses in Europe and Latin America. They are known for their amazingly tight choreography and fast dancing.     

 

 Jaime Jesus

Latin Dance Australia- Jaime Jesus & Mary Grace (Sydney Australia)

Workshops: Salsa On 1, Salsa  On 2

As an instructor and performer Jaime has turned himself into one of the most sought after dancer’s worldwide. His original style and trade mark choreographies have taken audiences by storm and landed him international offers to perform in every major international congress around the world. He taught and performed in the UK Congress and all participants said he had the best dance workshops they had ever been to.

Mary Grace is an up and coming dancer in the Salsa world. In Queensland, she has left quite a mark, placing 1st in the South Bank Salsa Standoff 2003, and 1st in the annual Queensland Street Salsa Competition in the same year. She has performed in the Sydney Salsa Congress both in 2005 and 2006. In 2005, she went on a world-wind tour of the US, the UK and Europe to learn the latest styles of Latin dance.She had joined the LDA team. She will make her international debut in Los Angeles with the LDA pro-team and to compete in the World Salsa Competition.

Alex has been dancing salsa most of his life, starting in Colombia and in Italy since 1999, with his brother (Son Colombianos).He started his own dance company in 2006, in Genova.

For the first time children’s workshops taught by Martina 10 years old. They specialize in Colombian and LA Style Salsa.
They have  performed and instructed at many  salsa Congresses around the globe. They are renowned  for their  flamboyant style and fast and precise moves.

 

 

Salsa Suave - Australia

Powerful, smooth, passionate, classic…..Fernando and Becky bring an energy to the dance floor that can only be described as Suave. Their unique style and inspiring presence make them one of Sydney’s most admired and sought after couples. With a combined 10 years of teaching, performing and competing in Latin dance, Becky and Fernando are respected as world class professionals. Winners of the Sydney Salsa Competition in 2003, in 2004 they went on to place second in the national championships and to dazzle the Australian public on ABC’s Strictly Dancing.In the same year they were the first Australian couple to be finalists at the Mayan World Salsa Competition in Los Angeles.
Their many performance highlights include demonstrating and instructing at the 1st Festival de Salsa in New Caledonia and performing at the Australian, New York and Miami Salsa Congresses in 2005. Fernando and Becky have thrilled crowds of over 4000 people at Australia’s biggest Latin Festivals including; Sydney’s Barcadi Festival in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Maroubra Festival in 2004, Sydney Latin Festival in 2003 and 2004 and Darling Harbour’s Latin Fiesta in 2003.As instructors, Fernando and Becky are known for their vibrant energy and genuine warmth. Their contagious enthusiasm and irresistible charm make them the most sought-after instructors in Sydney for individual and group classes as well as workshops and special events.

 

Brasil in Brisbane Productions - “Sambalicious”(Mishel Finlayson, Debbie Smits, Amanda Mc Gill and Fabia Santiago)     Mishel Jemma Finlayson spent two years living in the Brazilian dance capital Rio de Janeiro immersing herself in all Brazillian styles but in particular Zouk and Samba.

 

 

 Volker- Germany

 Workshops:Rueda de Casino: beginner, intermediate and advanced

Cuban Style partner work: beginner, intermediate, advancedVolker (Germany) started dancing Salsa when visiting Cuba in 2001 and 2002. Being a modern ballroom dance originally, the Salsa virus infected him during 4 month intensive dancing and cultural experience with locals in Havana. After coming back to Germany he started to teach Salsa in his own school in Stuttgart in order to share his new passion with others. Furthermore he was invited to teach workshops and at congresses in Germany, Austria, Poland, China, Malaysia and Thailand and the artists from Cirque de Soleil. His classes are focused on understanding the music and the basic movements in order to dance with lot of fun and in harmony with music and partner or a group - and being able to feel and enjoy the passion generated by the music. He is currently teaching in Shanghai/China and will soon move to KL/Malaysia.

 

Sai & Kirthi- Bangalore

Sai and Kirthi are well-known dance performers and instructors from
India. They are the directors of Latin Dance India(LDI). They have traveled
to UK, Australia, China, Korea, Athens, Paris, Hong Kong, Malaysia,
singapore and Bangkok, competing and performing, representing India at
International Salsa Festivals. Sai and Kirthi are the first Indians to
represent  India at the World Salsa Champions Inhips 07, held in Orlando
(Florida). In 2007 they won titles at the Singapore and China. Sai and
Kirthi are known for their powerful performances and their style of
teaching.
